Melanie Lopez
Melanie is born and raised in Miami, Florida. She finished her apprenticeship in July of 2022 and began tattooing professionally in Kansas City where she now has her home base. She focuses on a traditional approach to most of her designs, focusing on solid line-work and smooth shading. She got her start taking walk-ins at a walk-in heavy shop and can accommodate almost any idea you might have as well as being open to specific custom design requests to fit your preferences. Below you can find examples of her work. She opened up Lovetta Tattoo while battling severe mold-poisoning in order to recover in a mold-free environment. Soon multiple artists began working alongside her which called for an expansion. In September of 2025 Lovetta Tattoo relocated from a 300sqft private studio type of location to it's current +1000sqft walk-in capable shop location in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Melanie works 5 days a week, except Wed/Thurs, and takes 3-5 tattoo slots a day, both appointments and walk-ins. When she travels home to Miami, you can find her tattooing at Ocho Placas in Coral Gables.
